American Bard Theater Company is dedicated to the exploration of lesser known theatrical works by Shakespeare and other highly regarded playwrights. We seek to entertain, educate and impact audiences by using the author’s linguistic clues to envision how the work was may be interpreted. Company History The American Bard Theater Company was established in June of 2009. Fourteen actors and theater artists make up the founding members of the company. Each one has had the privilege of studying the First Folio technique with John Basil at the American Globe Theatre in Midtown Manhattan. The members came together to continue exploring the First Folio technique in both its classical and contemporary avenues, putting a new spin on it while keeping alive a long line of theatrical tradition.
