American Bard Theater Company (ABTC) was founded in June of 2009. The members came together to continue exploring the First Folio technique in both its classical and contemporary avenues. ABTC's artistic director, Mary Riley, has a masters of arts from Radford University and works as an actor, model and singer. She explains, "It came from a need and a few conversations about how we as current and former students of American Globe Theatre, wanted more opportunities to work, if not with John Basil, then in the context of the First Folio we had all studied with him."
WITCHES, BITCHES!! is the culmination of the companies first workshop. "For this project we've used the backdrop of Halloween to take a look at how we think about our own mortality. We took the liberty of selecting some of the choicest cuts from playwrights past and present to explore what we think happens...after." -director, Raven Peters. The perfect treat to kick off your Halloween reverie.
