Biography

Damon Kinard is a graduate of the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Naturally, he decided to use this knowledge and experience for the world of theater. Damon discovered his love of theater in his very first show - a college production of Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll.

Since then, Damon as performed in numerous Off-Off-Broadway, regional, and touring productions. He has appeared in such roles as Oscar Charleston in Cobb, MacDuff, Laertes, and William in Lobby Hero, and Menenius in Coriolanus, for which he received a nomination for the Irene Ryan Award. Damon has been incredibly fortunate to work with such wonderful companies as the Classical Theatre of Harlem, La Mama, ETC, American Globe Theatre, and Baltimore Shakespeare Festival.
